GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Application Support Analyst will be responsible for providing Level 3 Application Support throughout the term of the Datacenter Migration. The individuals must have good communication skills and be able to produce quality documentation presentable to business executives.

ANALYST OVERVIEW:
Maintain and support applications and their operating environments
Ensure technology management policies are adhered to; provide technical solutions on application problems
Ensure all productions issues are logged and updated
Review and update application documentation
Possess working knowledge of the end-to-end applications supporting the business flow
Communicate issues clearly using both technical and non-technical language

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communications skills.
Must be available during EST business hours.
Analyst should have a strong DBA background focused on SQL Server application support.
Financial Industry experience is a must ( over 40 applications to be supported mainly front end applications like Portfolio Accounting, General ledger systems, Trade flow etc ). Support will be in the form of Phone, offline research and in person.

1) Project Manager (30%)   /  Data Gathering Lead (70%) - (Dual role)
•        Creates and manages all project plans
•        Responsible for adherence to methodology
•        Contribute to the creation and oversight of communications
•        Develops and manage status reports and monitors deliverables
•        Tracks time and performs earned value assessment for program
•        Ensures all information required in the data gathering phase of the application stability work stream is complete
•        Interfaces and leads all resources responsible for data gathering (business partners, various GIS points of contact, application owners)

2) Quality  / Compliance Lead
•        Defines strategy to ensure program compliance
•        Defines the strategy to increase IT regulatory and security compliance, in alignment with the GIS Risk and Compliance methodology
•        Governs the adherence to this program plan and the detailed program planning
•        Triggers the GIS risk management process and governs adherence to the “Risk Management SOP"
•        Ensures risk and compliance reporting
•        Leads the creation of key project documentation (SOP's, User Requirements,  Quality documents)

3) Configuration Mgr. / Data Analyst
•        Maintains the GIS Remedy Configuration Mgmt. Database (CMDB)
•        Inputs and manages infrastructure component data gathered for the top 150 business applications in the GIS CMDB
•        Processes routine information updates from several data sources (IBM RECON, BT,  Business IT application teams)
•        Manages the reconciliation process to ensure the GIS Remedy configuration data is accurate and change history is maintained
 

Responsible for designing, developing and implementing changes and enhancements to the Information Technology (IT) computing environment;  Ensures that the design of the organization’s computer system allows all of the components, including computers, the network, and software, to work properly together. Furthermore, monitors and adjusts the performance of existing networks and continually surveys the current computer site to determine future network needs.  Also, troubleshoots problems reported by users and by automated network monitoring systems and makes recommendations for future system upgrades.
 
Ensuring security and best practices for an environment of 50+ servers, 350+ workstations while aligning with HIPAA compliancy standards.  Managing group policy and deployment for workstations, users, servers etc.  Support web applications such as Sharepoint; update and maintain websites. Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.  Performing routine audits of systems and software.  Performing backups.  Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.  Installing and configuring new hardware and software.  Managing and cleaning Active Directory.  Documenting the configuration of the system.  Acting as escalation for the support staff.  Administer, maintain and upgrade proprietary systems as needed.  Any additional related tasks deemed necessary by the Technology Manager.
