Job Description
Generates sales revenue for Premier accounts by removing obstacles (both external and internal) that exist between opportunity identification and eventual contract signature. Helps direct the activities of sales, service, and technical support teams to ensure optimum customer satisfaction with Verizon products and services. Develops strategic plans of action based on industry trending and customer analysis. Prepares account status reports and recommendations to enhance account growth and revenue potential. Participates in contract negotiations with customers and/or their consultants. Develops creative and customized packaging of new applications, solutions, and services. Assists in the management of account executives and top opportunities. Functions as the business intelligence "data-bank" for the region and is a vital communications link between the field, the client and PCM, Legal, Presales, Product Marketing, etc. Effectively matrix-manages cross functional areas to close custom solutions. Provides input to overall regional strategies, policies and plans.
Requirements
A highly motivated, self-directed individual committed to achieving sales results. This position calls for strong logical thinking, conflict management, and analytical/creative deal-making prowess. In addition, strong sales experience and a comfort level with "C" level executives is needed. Must be able to design, build, and develop deals that are palatable to our clients and beneficial to Verizon Business. Bachelors degree or equivalent (MBA preferred) and seven to nine years in the telecommunications industry to include direct sales account experience, sales management, financial management, and/or business development experience - working with large, complex accounts requiring application development, solutions development, and technical design. Requires in-depth understanding of Verizon Business products, services, and network. Excellent oral and written skills are a must.
